A federal lawsuit has been filed by the estate of 18-year-old Atiyana Willis, alleging that Greene County Jail staff failed to respond to her repeated requests for medical assistance and neglected to contact EMS as her health worsened, contributing to her death. Represented by attorney Luther Sutter, the lawsuit names Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder alongside 10 unidentified defendants, citing severe failures in care and supervision.
The legal action comes just one day after Sheriff Snyder terminated nine jail employees.
